The Ford Raptor has always been a bit of an anomaly among pickups. Launched during the height of the recession, it became something of a run away hit with enthusiasts who wanted off-road chops and Mustang-like performance packed into something with a truck bed. Now, the second generation has arrived, and its kicking tail (gate) and taking names.
The most recent name it’s taken is the “Truck of the Year” title at AutoGuide, who compared it against a field of several other recently updated options. Thanks to the use of lightweight aluminum and the new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 under the hood, the Raptor was the clear winner. But not everyone has jumped on the second-gen Raptor hype train. Others point to its lack of a V8 as a reason to stick with the old model.
While we’re technically impartial, we’d love to introduce you to any first-gen Raptor that comes across our lot! Just contact our used car dealership in St. Charles, MO whenever it’s convenient for you.
